About the Course
Maybe you are new to Pilates or perhaps you are a regular Pilates student. If you are new to our studio mat classes, book this mat class as your first at Bela Pilates Studio. This will allow you to fill out our questionnaire, waiver, and policies online before you come in.
Bela Pilates Online Mat Class is a weekly mat class offered through a Zoom link that will be sent after your booking is complete. Please join us on your phone, tablet, or laptop in a well lit room from the convenience of your home or office. Please have a mat if desired. Possible props like a small Pilates ball or magic circle may be added if you have them. This is a Beginner/Intermediate Mat Class that will cover the original 34 Pilates Mat Exercises as well as variations and other dynamic exercises.
If you have Osteoporosis and have never taken Pilates, this is not the right class for you. If you have taken Pilates and are aware of your modifications and limitations, please email the owner to request to join the class. We are committed to teaching students with Osteoporosis first privately, so they can be ready for our mat classes.
Your Instructor
Rebecca Cook
Rebecca Cook has been teaching Pilates for almost twenty years. She trained with the Taylor sisters at The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado and went on to complete her Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Balanced Body University. Rebecca is certified in a plethora of other areas including Trigger Point Release, Self-Myofascial Release, PNF Stretching, AI Stretching, is a Pilates Practitioner for Neurological Conditions and an Integrated Movement Specialist. She has trained students at elite ballet schools, Olympic Speed Skater, Tim Quinn, as well as stroke survivors.
